Opening his election campaign at Ennis, Mr Cosgrave warned tho people that if the Fianna Fail fulfilled Its intention of abolishing the oath and violating the Treaty there could be no appeal to the Treaty as a shield against the consequence. He acknowledged Ireland’s depend- ' ence on Britain as her most important customer and source of supplies. He added that if Ireland is to benefit by Britain’s fostering of an inter-Common-wealth of commerce negotiations were essential. The Fianna Fail, if returned, would repeal the Constitution Amendment Act again, loosing a flood of disorder and crime.
