QUEENSLAND SWELTERING I THERMOMETER REACHES 120. BRISBANE, Jan. 14. Queensland was simmered again in terrific heat. The thermometer soared to 120 degrees at Hughendeu. Several people collapsed and an elderly woman died. Storms at night were accompanied by lightning and fireballs. The latter were responsible for the death of several cattle.
