The committee of the Canterbury Owners and Breeders’ Association dis cussed the Ngingongingo case, and a resolution was passed expressing confi dence in the New Zealand Trotting As sociation and strongly urging tho New Zealand Trotting Conference to use every endeavour to retain the association as at present constituted, TRAINER INJURED THROWN OUT OF SULKY SKULL FRACTURED BY KICK A well-known trotting trainer, Mr. Harry Hendricksen, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Wednesday morning with a fractured skull, through being kicked by a horse he was driving on the training track at Alexandra Park. At the time Mr. Hendricksen appeared on the track with the pacing mare Cleao, which he owns and trains himself, there were few horses about, and the only other exercising was Afarble Star, driven by Mr. R. Millen. Cleao, usually a very quiet mare, and one inclined to be lazy, got one of her legs over the sulky shaft, which broke. Mr. Hendricksen was thrown out of the sulky and the mare kicked him severely on the head. Trainers soon ran to his assistance and Dr. Abbott was called. He immediately had the unfortunate driver conveyed to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Examination at the hospital revealed a fractured skull.
