HUNTER VILLE
BOY SCOUT RALLY LOCAL TROOP VISITS WANGANUI The local Boy Scout troop returned on Monday morning after attending a rally held in Wanganui over the weekend. The Hunterville troop was one of ten troops competing and considering that it contains several new recruits and was competing against older and more experienced troops, acquitted itself remarkably well, gaining fifth place in aggregate points derived from examinations in marching, ambulance work, and inspection. The boys’ best showing was in the inspection when they gamed third place, v hilo in the ambulance work 12 points out of tho possible 20 were obtained. The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by the boys, who were under Scoutmaster C. R. Krocft and much knowledge and experience was gained from their association with the city troops. While in Wanganui the Scouts were billeted at the Y.Af.C.A. as the weather prevented them camping as was intended.
