AUSTRALIAN INTENTION SPEECH BY MR. THEODORE DEMANDS OF UNEMPLOYED DISBANDMENT OF NEW GUARD (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, Received Nov. 24, 7.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 24. Speaking at Glebe, the Federal Treasurer, Air E. G. Theodore, is reported as saying that drastic changes in the monetary system in order to trope with unemployment are absolutely necessary. Ho added that unless the nations of tho world unite to solve the financial problem, Australia, acting alone, would bo driven to solve her own industrial problems regardless of the rest of tho world.
Unemployed, numbering over 1000, marched through Sydney to-day to the Domain, where fiery speeches were made demanding a 100 per cent, increase in tho dole allowance and the disbandment of the New Guard.
The police prevented an unemployed pre-arranged hostile demonstration at tho re opening of Parliament.
