OSCAR GARDEN'S PLANS

TASMAN FLIGHT DROPPED AIR CIRCUS FOR SOUTH AFRICA. [ Per Press. Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. Oscar Garden has abandoned for the meantime his plan to fly from England to New Zealand. He intends conducting an air circus in South Africa. With a partner, John Tranen, and other pilots, he is now on his way to South Africa with three or four ’planes. This information was conveyed by Garden's mother, who arrived by the Tamaroa to-day. She said that Oscar had found difficulty in raising money for tho purchase of a machine to fly from Australia to New Zealand. He had an olde? and lower-powered machine for the England-Australia section. He then decided to take in a partner and to undertake the South African air circus venture. Mrs Garden said that her son had a great reception at the Isle of Man, her native place, where Oscar was educated. Recently he hid undergone a special course in advanced airmanship
