GISBORNE TRAGEDY
AN OPEN VERDICT [ Per Pre-*3 Association. | GISBORNE, Oct. 14. An open verdict was returned by the coroner at the inquest on Lawrence Shacklock Evans, whose death in a strong room of the Borough Council occurred yesterday, tho coroner holding that the evidence was insufficient to establish whether death was accidental or intentional.
