LOWEST BRITISH RATE. LAST YEAR’S STATISTICS [British Official Wireless.] Received Oct. 13, 9.5 p.m. RUGBY, Oct. 12. The lowest death rate ever recorded for children under one year in England and Wales is shown in the Regis-trar-General’s statistical review "for 1930, namely 60 per 1000 births. The previous low record was 65 per 1000 for 1928. The birth rate for 1930 was 16.3 per 1000 persons living. The rate is the same as that for the preceding year. The death rate was 11.4 per 1000 of the total population, which is the lowest ever recorded.
