WEATHER FORECAST
General Situation. —The last of a long series of westerly disturbances apparently crossed the Dominion yesterday. Forecast.—Winds: Westerly, moderate to strong north of Now Plymouth and East Cape, elsewhere strong to gale force and backing to south-westerly. Seas (N.Z. waters): Heavy south of Cape Egmont, moderate north of East Cape, elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: South-west winds, moderate in the northern portion with moderate seas, but strong in the southern portion with rough seas. Weather: Changeable and squally generally, heavy showers in districts with a westerly aspect and showers extending soon to eastern provinces. Thunder and hail in parts of the South Island. Cold temperatures.
