PENNY FOOTBALL BANNER. When presenting the trophies won by the local combined team at the fancy dress dance on Friday night, Mr. 11. J. Fagan made feeling reference to Ibe late Mr. W. S. Penny, who had. with the help of his sisters, given the Penny Banner for competition when the T? Kawau Sub-union was formed. Mr. Fagan said that the late Mr. Pei.ny had always been keenly interested in children’s sports and spoke of his efforts in connection with the Sandon Sports Club. He expressed the hope that the Penny Banner would, fur many years, be one of the most valued trophies of the fe Kpwau Sub-union.
