A further telegram received by the Colonial Office from British Honduras states that progress is being maintained in removing the debris caused by the recent hurricane, but a plague of flies and mosquitoes is causing anxiety to the medical authorities. Temporary repairs have been effected on most of the important public buildings. The total number of deaths registered is 693.
