A WELCOME STIMULUS [ British Official Wireless. ] Received O«t. 11, 5.5 p.m. RUGBY, Oct. 10. At a meeting of the Overseas Trade Development Council, the representatives of one of the largest Lancashire organisations stated that the number of their employees during the past fortnight had been increased by 2000 hands. It was expected that this figure would be further augmented, as four mills had been reopened and others would re-start in consequence the increased enquiries both from the home and overseas markets.
