ON WANGANUI GREENS SATURDAY’S RESULTS PLAY IN FINE WEATHER Bowlers in Wanganui were favoured with fine weather on Saturday for the second day’s play of the season, though there was a fairly good breeze blowing. All tho city and suburban greens were well patronised. ST. JOHN'S CLUB “Visiting Day” on St. John’s green was an enjoyable function, the fine weather enhancing tho pleasure of all. WANGANUI EAST CLUB Bowlers prefer to remain on their own green on opening day. Thus it was that no visits to other clubs wore paid bv Wanganui East on opening day. but official visits wore paid last Saturday, when all tho city clubs in addi tion to Rapanui, were ’•opresented in return at the Wanganui East green. This was in perfect order and all games were much enjoyed. Prior to the commencement of play the visitors were accorded a cordial welcome by the president, Mr L. Travers.
