HIGH COMMISSIONER’S ADVICE The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated September 26, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow.—During tho week parts of last week’s catalogue have been cleared at slightly lower prices. Hemp.—Manila market firm. 4< K” grade for September-November shipment sold on Thursday at £l5 15s and yesterday (September 25) at £lB. Nominal closing value for NovemberJanuary shipment £lB 10s. Sisal.—Has advanced in sympathy. Good business has been done in No. 1 fair average quality for September-No-vember shipment which sold up to £l5 10s. Nominal closing value £l6 10s and No. 2 £l5 15s. New Zealand. —No business reported and it is therefore difficult to estimate values. September-November shipment nominally on the basis of fair grade, £lB.
