“ROUND THE GORGES” HUNDRED-MILE ROAD RACE SIXTEEN-YEAB-OLD WINNER [ Per Prew Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 26. W. F. Wilcockson won the 100-mile amateur road championship over the “Round-the-Gorges” course off scratch to-day, covering the long journey in 4 hours 40 minutes. The cycling sub-committee of the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre selected P. N. Robinson to represent Wellington in the New Zealand road cycling championship for N.Z.
