DAMAGES AWARDED
GISBORNE SEDUCTION CASE i Per Press Association. ] GISBORNE, Aug. 19. Damages of £2OO were awarded Charles Whiteley, a watersider, against Sam Anderson, saddler, in the Supreme Court by a jury for the seduction of plaintiff’s daughter. The case was heard before Mr Justice Reed. Evidence for plaintiff showed sexual relationship be'- . eon the parties for two years. The defence contended that the child had been born Ly another man. Previou;]y, in the lower court, maintenance had been awarded the girl against Anderson.
