IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS TEAM FOR THE TOURNAMENT. At Masterton on Saturday, Munday <.nd Wednesday next the primary school Rugby representatives of the Wanganui, Afanawatu, Wellington and Wairarapa districts will participate in the annual tournament for the championship banner, which has been held by Wanganui for the past three years. As it is a well-known fact that the primary schools constitute the cradle of Rugby a considerable amount of interest is displayed in the tournament, and the keen enthusiasm evinced by the Wanganui supporters is very encouraging. The party from V anganui will con sin of twenty boys, under the charge of Messrs F. C. Jannings and C. B. Lewis, who will be the managers of the tour. The representatives will leave by the 6.35 a.m. train to-morrow, hu» having plenty of time or rest before the tournament commences. The finance of the tour has been satisfactorily a*-

ranged, voluntary contributions enabling the Wanganui Primary Schools' Rugby Association to obtain the representative caps so prized by the members of the team, as well as a new set of jerseys to replace those which have done service for several years past, to say nothing of paying the travelling expenses of the tour. The representative caps will be presented to the mem bers of the team by Dr G. J. Adams, president of the Wanganui Rugby Union, at a function at the Elrick Lounge this evening. The following are the Wanganui representative players:—A. Clark, J. Wilson, H. Dennison. T. Francis, R. Eade, R. Tukere, Al. Renz (Wanganui East); J. Holly, J. Travers, R. McKay, C. Reeves, E. Toms (Castlecliff); J. Holmes (Vittoria Avenue); R. James (Upokongaro); L. Cornish (Tawhero); M. Churton, P. Takarangi, T. Takarangi (Queen’s Park); F. Futcher, K. Larsen (Gonville).
