IN THE MIDST OF A SNOWSTORM.-Members of the Tramping Club photographed outside the Kime hut, on the Tararuas, last week-end, in the course of a tramp. They were caught in a heavy snowstorm while at the hut.

REPLACING THE DESTROYED BRIDGE Al WAIROA.—For five months all vehicular traffic over the Wairoa River has been conveyed by punt, for such damage was done to the structure by the earthquake in February that repairs were out of the question.
