BORAX IN THE BATHROOM
Put Mb. of borax into a tin or jar with a good-fitting lid. Sprinkle three or four drops of oil of geranium into the borax. Put a pinch in the basin when washing, or use a larger quantity in the bath. This cannot be beaten as a water softener and is very cheap. In a pint of hot water dissolve Aoz. of borax and add half a teaspoonful of tincture of myrrh. A wineglassful o. this in half a tumbler of water should be used when brushing tho teeth. It whitens the teeth and hardens the gums. To wash a sponge use a solution composed of joz. of borax dissolved in a pint of boiling water.
