A PORTUGUESE DISASTER MORE THAN THIRTY KILLED [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Aug. 14, 11.5 p.m. HONG KONG, Aug. 14. When ten tons of gunpowder blew up the Portuguese military magazine at Macao yesterday great havoc was wrought among houses over a wide area. It was revealed to-day that over 30 were killed, including Portuguese, Chinese, and African soldiers. Several hundreds were injured. Troops flooded the bigger magazines, preventing an even greater disaster.
