Oram, the United Party candidate for Palmerston North, is a member of tho Wanganui Education Board, president of the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce, and member of the High School Board. The United Party’s headquarters announced to-day that Mr Robert Dar roeh, secretary of the Wellington Branch of the Navy League and secre-tary-treasurer of the Cancer Campaign Society, will ho the official candidnle for the Wellington Central seat ia the party’s interests at tho election. The sitting member is P. Fraser a supporter of tho Labour Party.
