GOLF Owing to the poor attendance at the meeting of the Batea Ladies’ Golf Club last Wednesday, any decision on the matter of the club’s championships was held over. It was arranged for a combined team of Batea and Waverlcy ladies to visit Belmont Club for a friendly inter-club match. Another match was arranged with tho Alanaia Club. Both matches will be played during the time the local links are PERSONAL Air N. Glenny has returned to Cam- . bridge after his annual leave from the (.staff o£ the Bank of New Zealand. During his holiday, he spent a week in j Wellington, his mother, Mrs W. C. Glenny, accompanying him. I Miss Rose has returned to Wanganui after spending a few days in Patca as the guest of Mrs Stevens. j Aliss Crombie, of Palmerston North, spent a few days in Batea recently. Miss Fraser returned to Richmond, Nelson, yesterday after a holiday in Batea, where she has been the guest of her sister, Mrs XV. Batterson.
