SMALL ZEPPELIN
FRENCH “PONY” AIRSHIPS” LONDON, July 26. Believing that giant dirigibles have not yet reached the stage of efficiency, France is concentrating on “puny” Zeppelins, capable of travelling at 60 miles an hour, yet so easily managed that a crew of two is sufficient. One such craft, christened Zodiac VIII., carries one and one-third tons of freight, and is small enough to place inside an average aeroplane hangar.
