LATE MR C. H. WARDEN V

Sir,—As I have read tho that have been paid to the life and work of thj late Air C. H. Warden, I have been touched most deeply, for I have considered him an ideal headmasi ter. For three years I wrs privileged to give Bible instruction in his schools, lirst at Queen’s Park and then at Wanganui East, and know of the wonderful work he did in creating school loyalties of the best type. Ho hated humbu*“ and sham, nor did he care for his pupils to take part in any ceremonies that, were performed in a perfunctory manner. His ceremonies for the saluting of the flag and for the Anzac Memorial Service were unique, and were considered by Sir Charles Fergusson to be the best that he had seen. He will live in the hearts of those who knew him.—I am. etc. A. J. McELDnwNFY, Christchurch, August 8, 1931. _ _
