WRESTLING BOUT
WELLINGTON CONTEST BURESCH AND PENCHEFF [ Per Press Association. J WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. No falls were registered in the professional wrestling bout at the Town Hall this evening between Stanley Buresch (13st 31b) and George Pencheff (13st 101 b). The wrestling had been fairly even and the match was declared a draw by the referee, Mr J. Lack. After the first round there was plenty of action, supplied mainly by Pencheff, and the work of both men was fast, showy and of quite good standard.
WALKER WINS AGAIN THROWS ALLEY OUT OF RING ALLEY UNABLE TO CONTINUE [ Per Press Association. J AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. The professional wrestling contest tonight between George Walker and Tom Alley ended in the fourth round in favour of Walker. Alley being unable to continue. Alley won a submission fall in the second round with a double reverse wristlock. In the fourth round Alley was thrown heavily four times and was unable to continue. A crowded house witnessed the match. The winner thus maintained his undefeated record over the past two seasons.
