LADIES’ MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB The shoot on Friday last was the first | of a senes for a trophy donated by Mr F. Dear. The individual scores are as follows:—Miss E. Linton 34—2—34; Mrs H. Thompson 32—2—33; Miss N. Thompson 30 —12—33; Miss C. Thompson 29 —5—33; Mrs A. Mercer 24—10 —33; Miss T. Burgess 20 —12—32; Mrs L. 1). Coleman 20 —B—2B. Another ping-pong evening and dance is arranged for Wednesday next, August 12.
BASKETBALL Three teams from Ohingaiti visited Hunterville on Saturday last to compete in the tournament, and the Old (Girls’ team were successful in scoring the greatest number of points for the day. The A and B teams each won one game. All speak highly of the hospital, ity shown by the hosts.
