CHILEAN TRAINING SHIP
ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND [ Per Press Association. ) AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. The Chilean training ship Genera! Baquedauo arrived from Sydney, salutes being exchanged as the ship entered the port. The Chilean Consul, Mr Craig, welcomed Captain Alvarez, a number of official calls following. The ship was thrown open for in spection, and many Auck anders went on board. It is expected that the vessel will be in Auckland for eight days Nothing definite has been arranged yet regarding the prospective visit to Wellington. The ship’s complement totals 17 officers, 24 midshipmen, petty offi cers, and 269 other ranks.
