SEVERE EARTHQUAKES
REPORT FROM NEW GUINEA. Received Aug. 10, 9.15 p.m. CANBERRA. Aug. 10. The Administrator at New Guine has notified Mr Scullin by radio th’i a severe earthquake occurred at Aitaint midday on Friday, lasting for 4 seconds. The foundations of six bungalow were damaged but there were no ca: unities.
