WEATHER FORECAST
General Situation.—An anti-eyelone covers New Zealand, but pressure is again commencing to fall in the south in front of a series of westerly depressions extending in southern latitudes from the Australian Bight to the Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Winds: Westerlies prevailing at first, but veering later to northerlies in and south of Cook Strait, moderate mainly, but strong about Foveaux Strait. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough in Foveaux Strait, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: West’ to north-west winds prevailing, strong in the southern portion with rough seas; light to moderate elsewhere, with smooth seas. Weather: Some showers about Foveaux Strait and later extending along parts of the West Coast of the South Island, otherwise fine, with moderate temperatures.
