GROCERY EMPORIUM GUTTED DAMAGE ESUMATED AT £60,000 [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received June 28, 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, June 28. A largo fire occurred at Mcllrath’s grocery provision emporium, a sixstoried building in the danger zon - of Pitt Street, early this morning. The premises were almost gutted and firemen had a desperate job in preventing the flames spreading to the large department stores nearby. One fireman was injured by falling debris. The damage is £60,000.
