OTICE is hereby given that tho Wanganui City Council proposes at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, the 14th day of July, 1931, at the City Council Chambers, Wanganui, to make and levy, under the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1925,” and all other Acts enabling it in that behalf, the following rates for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1931, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1932. A Consolidated Rate under Section 95 of ‘ ‘ The Municipal Corporations Act 1920” of six shillings (6/-) in tho £ on all rateable property on tho Valuation Roll of the City of Wanganui, on the basis of the Annual Value: swell Consolidated Rate to comprise: A General Rate, under Section 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act 1920” of one shilling and seven pence and nine hundredths of a penny (1/7.09d) in the £. A Hospital Rate, under Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1926” of four pence and fifteen hundredths of a penny (4.15 d. in the £. A Lighting Rate, under Section 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act 1920” of two pence and fifty eight hundredths of a penny (2.58 d. in the £. A Library Rate, under Section 91 of “The Municipal Corporations Act 1920” of sixty hundredths of a penny (.60d) in the £. And* the following annually recurring Special Rates for payment of interest and charges on loans: — 2/8 82-100 d. in the £—Loans set out in “Tho Wanganui City Council Special Rate Empowering and Enabling Act 1924.” 50-100 d in the £—Drainage Loan of £12,000. 49-100 d in the £—Relief of Unemployment Loan of £10,900. 26-100 d. ui the £—Relief of Unemployment Loan of £6,000. 1 79 IOOd. in the £ —Tramway Loan of £34,400. 1 18-100 d. in the £—Tramway Loan of £22,400. 1 13 IOOd. in the £—Drainage Loan of £25,000. 32-100 d. in the £—Taylorville Bank Loan of £7,000. 42-100 d. in the £—Water Supply Loan of £lO,OOO. 32-100 d. in the £—Gonville Repayment Loan of £5,950. 19-100 d. in the £—Ladies’ Rest Room Loan of £3,500. 8-100 d. in the £—Wanganui East Repayment Loan of £l,lBO. 8-100 d. in the £—Special Drainage Loan of £5,000. And a Wanganui Harbour Board Rate of sixpence (6d.) in the £ made and levied on behalf of the Wanganui Harbour Board pursuant to “The Harbours Act 1923.” Notice is also given that the abovementioned rate will he payable in one instalment at tho office of the Wanganui City Council, St. Hill Street. Wanganui, on the 18th day of July, 1931. Notice is further given that a rebate of 2| per cent., in terms of Section 64 of “Tho Rating Act 1925,” will be allowed on all rates paid on or before tho 17th flay of August. 1931. Notice is further given that the Valuation Roll is open for inspection during the office hours at tho City Council Office, and that the Rate Book containing particulars of tho said rates will bo open for inspection during office hours at the City Council Office after the 18th dav of Julv, 1931.
