ON THE DIRT TRACK CRYSTAL PALACE TEST. ENGLAND AND AUSTRALIA. Received June 28, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, June 27. Enthusiastic onlookers packed the speedway track at Crystal Palace to watch the first Test between England and Australia, which England won by 55 points to 37. Her team work proved superior to the brilliant individualism of the Australians, who were somewhat handicapped by accidents. Vic Huxley and D. Case won the first two heats, England winning the remaining six in the first half and leading by 30 points to 15. Huxley met Langton in the eighth heat after both had made fastest time in their qualifying heats, but Huxley fell in the first lap. Langton and Parker easily beat Len Woods. Watson Jed Huxley in the ninth but the latter shot forward like a bullet and won by two yards on the. post. Case gallan'ty tried to head Langton in the ninth heat but a tyre came off, giving Parker (England) a second. Wilkinson and two other ridrs fell. Phillips and Francis (England) were first and second in the 14th; Australia won the 15th and England the 16th.
