SHARK IN CAPTIVITY
| PERIOD OF 18 WEEKS | ONE MEAL HUNGER STRIKE I Skipper, the shark at the Taronga Park Aquarium, Sydney, put up a world’s record recently by completing his 18th week in captivity. He celebrated the occasion by refusing his afternoon meal. The keeper who usually feeds him was away for the <lay, and when his relief threw the fish in the shark declined to eat it. i However, the shark seemed in good health, and it is felt that there is no reason why he should not go on thriving for a long time.
