TELEGRAPH REPRESENTATIVE MR HAROLD WARD ELECTED [ Per Pr«:sa Association. ] WELLINGTON, Juno 26. Elected by a majority of 620 votes, Mr Harold Vivian Ward, assistantsupervisor of the Telegraph Delivery Branv-h, Wellington, will succeed on the P. and T. Appeal Board, Air J. D. Burns, of Christchurch, who did not seek re-election. In accordance with the regulations under the P. and T. Act, a postal ballot was held on June 24 for the purpose of electing to the Board a representative of the . officers of the Telegraph Branch of the Department. Candidates for election were Afr Daniel Sloan, telegraphist, Christchurch, and Mr Harold Ward. The result of the election was as under: Sloan 1312 Ward ..... .......... ...... .... 1932 Majority for Ward .. . . 620 The Appeal Board consists of Mr 0. Cutten, S.M. (chairman), Air II .P. Donald, and representatives elected from the Postal and Telegraph branches of the service by the officers of those branches. The postal representative is Mr W. G. F. Pinkham, cleark, of Blenheim, who was elected unopposed in succession to Afr E. R. Blewett, of Nelson.
