X Bank of England note for onR penny was. by mistake, issued in 1828. This gut into circulation, mid for nmnv year- was a source of annoyance to the cashiers in making up their accounts. About twenty years ago the holder of the troublesome note brought, it back to the bank, and held out for. and obtained. £5 for it.
