Shooting Season.
So far as wild duck are concerned the open shooting season will close in the Wanganui district at the end of this month. Procession on River. One of the final processions of Wcl come Week will take place on the Wanganui River on Sunday, when the throe local rowing clubs will man as many of their boats as possible ami give an exhibition of rowing. Disappointed. The children al one of the suburban schools had been the recipients of several free samples of goods from one of the retailers' lorries in the We! come. Week parade on Tuesday and Wednesday. Yesterday several ambitious youths waited well after the hour for resuming school in the afternoon, hoping that they would be able to share once more in the distribution. Not only were they disappointed when no lorry made its appearance, but they were also late for school and had to make up the time later in the afternoon.
