RAILWAY ENGINE’S RECORD
A very proud record can be claimed by one of the engines on the English, railway, whivh has just been withdrawn from service on the line. It has been working for 53 years, and during the whole of that period has never met with a single mishap. It was known as Engine No. 13— just exactly the locomotive that the superstitius would expect to have a bad record. For there are unlucky engines, motor-cars and aeroplanes—hoodoos. as they are sometimes called.
