SHOW OPENS TO-DAY
GOOD ADVANCE REPORTS , OLD IDENTITIES' RECEPTION Today the Wanganui Winter Show will open. Although it will be a day of bustle for the .judges, it will show the public that there has been some improvement. Advice to hand Staten that nearly all sections are better this year. Besides the judging, the principal event will be the reception to the old identities of the district, and the presentation of badges to them. There is a greater variety of sideshown and there will be several attractions not previously seen in Wanganui. I'hc sheep dog trials will be comnienced tomorrow at 10 a.m., while in the afternoon at two o’clock there will be a Farmers’ Union fleece competition and wool demonstration. There will also be a demonstration on wool, including the Benzol test, by a Massey (10l lege psofessor. a demonstration on root crops, and tho Toy Dog Show.
