ECONOMIC PENSIONS. COUNCIL ACCEPTS CUT. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, June 23. The Dominion Council of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association at its annual meeting this evening, ae ccptcd the recent cut of 10 per cent on ex-soldiers’ economic pensions recently decided upon by the Government An adverse amendment was heavily de feated. The committee recommended that the action of Air J. D. Harper, Dominion hon. treasurer, in respect to the cut in economic pensions be endorsed, and thf his report on the subject be adopted.
