DESTRUCTION OF ZIPPOR
TETANUS FOLLOWS INJURY. When Zippor over-reached and cut a tendon while schooling at Ellerslie be fore the Auckland Racing Club’s win ter meeting it was expected that he would take a long time to recover, but the wound responded so well to treatment that hopes were entertained that he would make a complete recovery quicker than anticipated. Unfortun ately tetanus set in twenty-one days afU'r ho had met with the mishap and he -hkd to be destroyed. Zippor was an aged gelding by King John from Landrail and before going to Ellerslie he had registered three sue cessive victories in hurdle races al Hawera and Wanganui. His performances left no doubt that he was a good hurdler and his loss is a severe one for his owner, Mr W. Henderson.
