FROM THE LOG:— TEES IN PORT. After a fast run of 44 hours, the steamer Tees arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from the Chatham Islands and berthed at No. 2 Queen’s Wharf. The Tees was taken over yesterday by Holm and Co., who have chartered her to replace the lost Progress. She left Wellington for Dunedin yesterday, and will load northward for Weli lington, New Plymouth and Port Waikato. RUAHINE IN PORT. To continue discharge of her London cargo, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Auckland and berthel at the Pipitea Wharf. She is to leave there again on Thursday for New Plymouth to complete discharge and to commence her homeward loading. WAIOTAPU AT AUCKLAND. With Pacific Coast cargo for diecharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Bluff, Melbourne, and Sydney, the Union Company’s Waiotapu arrived at Auckland early on Saturday morning. She is due at Wellington next Saturday. MONOWAI AT VANCOUVER. The Union. Company has received cabled advice that the R.M.S. Monowai, from Sydney and Auckland, via Suva and Honolulu, reached Vancouver at 6.30 p.m. last Thurs('ey. The Mcnowai made a very wnart passage from Honolulu to Victoria. ISLAND SERVICE Commencing in July, the Burns I’hilp Company are inaugurating a sixweekly service to Norfolk Island from Auckland. Capable of carrying sixty passengers, the s.s. Morinda will sail from the northern port on July 26. Her gross weight is 2025 tons and she has every convenience for her passengers in order that they may enjoy tho delights of a sea voyage.
