BOARD TO INSPECT THE ROUTE. | Per P?esa Association. I WELLINGTON, June 22. In reply to a question tho Prime . Minister stated that he could give no information as to the decision of the Government in the matter of selecting the terminal point of the South Island Main Trunk Railway. It had been suggested that Clifford Bay is to be the terminal point of the railway and Public Works .Department surveys have been in progress in that locality. Mr Forbes said that, the matter would now bo one for tho Railways Board which is to go into the question of the construction of the South Island Main Trunk Line. The Board will leave on Wednesday to make an inspection ol the proposed route.
