FOOD FOR NEEDY
| RAILWAY BOARD’S ATTITUDE FREIGHT MUST BE PAID [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 21. In connection with the offer by the Farmers’ Union to supply produce for distribution among the needy in the city, advice has been received that the Railway Board has refused to carry produce without payment. In anticipation of sympathetic consideration, social workers in Auckland had set up a committee to arrange for the distribution of produce as it arrived.
