CRIMINAL SENTENCED
SIX MONTHS FOR THEFT. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, June 20. Charles King, aged 43, who was remanded in the Supreme Court yesterday when ho camo up for sentence, made a further attempt to-day to obtain a lenient sentence. The police, however, maintained that he was a dangerous and active criminal, and his Honour said that it was quite clear that he should be restrained. The charge was of theft of an overcoat and the sentence was six months’ imprisonment, with King declared an habitual criminal.
