Chapman (Auckland), Mr and Airs Crabburn, Mr and Aliss Denniston. Messrs L. O’Brien, R. Teal. G. Martin, G. Alason, H. Wake (Wellington), R. Drummond (Christchurch). S. Powell (Taihape).

The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital on 'Thursday morning of Air David Christie, a well-known and highly respected farmer of Korakonui, To Awamutu, and formerly of Fordell, where some of his relatives stul reside. Mr Christie was an enthusiastic follower of Rugby football and at one time played for the Fordell Club. He leaves a widow, four sons and a daughter. The funeral took place at Te Awamutu on Saturday.

Immediately before the Wanganui Harrier Club were sent away on a sixmile run on Saturday afternoon, they paid a tribute to the memory of Air Frank Crotty. Air C. White, president of the Harrier Club, addressed the runners as they stood on the starting line ready to move off. Drawing attention to the fact that Air Crotty had been a member of the club at one time, Air White said that they had all looked up to him as a first-class sport and a gentleman. Although of recent years he had not. been so actively attached to the club, ho had always taken the greatest interest in its activities and in the progress of its members. Air White remarked that while the harriers wore about to start but another of their races, Air Crotty had run his last race, which he had finished with very much credit to himself. The harriers stood a moment in silence in memory of their late club mate.
