IN EARTHQUAKE AREA
VICE REGAL VISITOR.,. f Per Press Association. | NAPIER, June 21. | The Governor-General and Ladyj Bledisloc paid an unofficial week-end! visit to the earthquake area. The vice-regal party arrived on Sat urday afternoon from Gisborne and ' made a tour of the various parts of| Napier. They spent the night in the j vice-regal carriage at the railway sta-1 tion. Their Excellencies attended a ser i vice at St. Augustine’s this morning and toured Hastings this afternoon. Lord Bledisloe expressed surprise at the wonderful progress being made and the self-reliance of the people. The party leave by train to-murrow morning.
