MODERN GOOD SAMARITAN
A mysterious man with a motor-car and plenty of money has been touring Alississippi and, without explanation, pressing handfuls of money on poverty-stricken farmers. “I have been an idler all my life,” he is reported to have said, “and I feci like doing something worth while. Those who have money should help those whi. have not.” Tho philanthropist’s motor-car is laden with suitcases packed with paper currency. Ho has already driven through Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Louisiana, and ho plans to distribute his supplies of money through five other stricken farming States. Tho man was identified recently as Mr. Enos F. Jones, of Jersey City, who inherited a largo fortune from his father, a chemical manufacturer.
