GERMAN SNIPER IN CHICAGO

The marksmanship of a former German sniper routed three bandits, killing two of them, when an attempt was made recently to hold up a fashionable restaurant in Chicago and rob 400 terrified guests. The bandits rushed in flourishing pistols, and lined up the guests against the wall. Suddenly the German head waiter appeared with an automatic shotgun. Dropping on one knee, he killed the leader of the bandits with the first shot. The second robber opened fire with a pistol, only to pitch forward as the veteran coolly picked him off. The third bandit jumped through a window and escaped in a waiting car.
