STEAMER AGROUND
ON REEF NEAR NOUMEA MANY PASSENGERS ABOARD I By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received June 18. 7.40 p.in. SYDNEY, June 18. The island steamer La Perouse is reported to be stranded on a reef near Noumea, but is in no immediate danger. There are 40 Sydney passengers aboard. It is expected that the vessel will float off at high tide.
