Lieut.-Colonel Davis has returned to Waverley after completing a motor tour via Napier and Wellington. Mr W. Adams has been reappointed as the representative of the Wanganui Education Board on the Girls’ College Board of Governors. Mr A. AlcLeoil has been elected to act as the representative of the Wanganui executive of the Farmers’ Union on the Relief Committee. Mr T. Currie‘l * been appointed to act as delegate on the electoral committee of the Meat Board for the Wanganui executive of the Farmers’ Union. Mr J. Murray, of New Plymouth, Dominion secretary of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association. has been elected a life member of that body in recognition of his valu able services. Guests at present registered at Foster's Hotel are:—Mr A. I‘. Greenfield (Timaru); Mr F. W. Wilson (Auckland); Messrs D. White, L. O’Brien. Bitasse. and D. H. Edgar (Wellington); Air P. Evans and Aliss L. N. Peeble (Dunedin).
Bishop Cher rington has appointed Rev. S. R. Golding, of Hamilton vicar of Ohura, to the cuue of Ingle wood, which was rendered vacant by the resignation of Rev. J. T. Thomp son. Rev. F. B. Rand, of the Society of the Sacred Mission, Kelham, Eng land, was instituted by the bishop to the cure of Christ Church, Taumarunui, a few days ago.
Mr B. Al. Kibblewhito. ALA., principal of the Taihape District High School, and formerly on the staff of the Levin District High School, who has been appointed to tho position of headmaster of the Alatamata Junioi High School, is a member of a family well-known at Palmerston North foz many years. Air Kibblewhito received bis early education in Palmerston North and was a pupil at the Bovs’ High School.
Four teachers who have been in the employ of the Wanganui Education Board for several years are about to retire and when their resignations were accepted at yesterday’s board meeting there wore many expressions of regret. They arc: Miss J. M. Alountfort, Foxton, Air J. J. O’R-cilly, Westmere, Air B. AL Kibblewhite. Taihape, and Air R. G. Hall, Lytton Street, Fcilding. It was decided to forward to each of these letters appreciating the loyal and faithful service rendered.
